Slacktide Stringband

Slacktide Stringband was born from a love of old time music, slowly growing into their sound through years of casual jamming and performing around their small-town homes of Ucluelet and Tofino. The band is made up of Steph Kokesch on fiddle, Oli Ateah on upright bass, James Inkster on banjo, dobro and pedal steel, and Steph Wightman on guitar.
From rowdy fiddle tunes and old folk songs, to sweet harmonies and originals, Slacktide Stringband has been active playing concerts and square dances for the Pacific Rim Arts Society. Look for them Friday afternoon on our Chapel Stage and in a contra dance workshop Saturday with caller Galen Armstrong.
