New Growth Stringband

Returning to the festival this year is Victoria’s New Growth Stringband, masters of old-time groove and a delightful group of folks. They will be on site all weekend after two days of doing our school square dance workshops in Duncan and Lake Cowichan. Join them as they host an old-time jam Sunday, or catch them at campground jams all weekend.

The band is is Dave Marshall, Ruari McLennan, Lisa Feeney, Kelly Sherwin and Brad Decker, all fine players who are well-known in Victoria’s old-time scene. Several can be found weekly at the Victoria Bluegrass Association’s Tuesday night jams.
