Thanks to everyone who signed up for our special workshop with Sharon Gilchrist, Megan Lynch Chowning and Ella Korth. The workshop is now sold out.

Participants will learn some John Hartford material including Tennessee Politics, one of the most popular tunes from the 2020 John Hartford Fiddle Tune Project Vol. 1, along with at least one more. View it here and on YouTube, where it can slowed down by clicking on the gear icon and choosing a playback speed.

We’ve also included a video showing the warm and fun teaching style of seven-time U.S. National Fiddle Champion Megan Lynch Chowning as she shows the A part to Living Up Stairs, one of the previously unrecorded Hartford tunes recently released on The John Hartford Fiddle Tune Project Vol. 2. Chowning and Gilchrist co-produced and played on the all-female project along with a Who’s Who of some the best women in bluegrass and old-time music.

Vol. 2 is a follow-up to the 2022 Grammy nominated Vol. 1 of the same title. Both recordings bring to life a trove of Hartford-written tunes discovered in notebooks after his death in 2001.

Participants get a chance to join the trio on stage!
